At 44, Kim Kardashian is still putting in the work: literally. The SKIMS founder opened up to Vogue about how she keeps her body toned, her mind clear, and her energy up — and spoiler alert: it’s not just about looking good for the cameras.

Kim spilled that she trains for an hour and a half every single day. “I do an hour and a half a day, with weights and stretching, and a little bit of cardio,” she explained. For her, workouts are more than just fitness: “I love to work out — it’s my therapy.”

Forget the stereotype of endless treadmill time, Kim’s a weight girl. “I’m a big weightlifter, so I do lots of weights,” she said. After dealing with some back issues, she’s had to tweak her approach but still keeps strength training at the core.

“I have to do lower body in order to stay toned. I do a few days of upper body,” Kim shared, adding that she usually picks one body part and locks in on it for the day.

Pilates Keeps Her Back in Check

Weights might be her favorite, but Kim swears pilates keeps her feeling balanced. “I love pilates … I find when I don’t incorporate pilates at least once a week, I can feel it in my back,” she said.

She added: “I definitely need that lengthening and stretching.”

Why You Won’t Catch Kim in Hot Yoga

There’s one trendy workout Kim just can’t do: hot yoga. “I did it once and I fell asleep,” she admitted. “Just with the mood, and you lay down and close your eyes. I can fall asleep anywhere, so put me in the position to fall asleep, and I will.”

So yeah, don’t expect Kim K to be dripping in a 105-degree yoga class anytime soon.

When it comes to motivation, Kim’s got a very specific vibe. “I am the kind of annoying workout person where I check my phone throughout the workout, though, and respond to people,” she confessed, joking that it probably frustrates her trainer.

But the one thing that really gets her in the mood? Justin Bieber. Yup, she says his music is her go-to gym soundtrack.
