Millie Bobby Brown is living her best life, and motherhood is treating her well.
About two months after she and hubby Jake Bongiovi welcomed their baby girl through adoption, the Stranger Things star is finally reflecting on what life looks like with their new addition — and why they’ve decided to keep things super private.
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story,” Millie told British Vogue in the December issue, “until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself.”
Why Millie’s Keeping Her Daughter’s Name a Secret
That means no name reveals just yet either. The 21-year-old explained that won’t happen until “she’s ready to decide for herself.”
“If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support,” Millie added. “But right now, as she’s so little—as her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”
Totally fair and so wholesome.
Inside Millie and Jake’s New Life as Parents
The Enola Holmes actress also couldn’t stop gushing about how much she’s loving her new chapter as a mom and wife. “It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey—she’s taught us so much already,” she said.
Millie admits motherhood has completely shifted her outlook on life. “The smaller things in life are so much more precious,” she shared. “Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy.”
And of course, she gave her husband Jake all the love, saying she’s “so grateful to have partnered with him in this life.” As for dad duties? He’s killing it. “He is just the most amazing dad,” she raved.
Jon Bon Jovi’s Grandpa Glow-Up
Even Jake’s dad, rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, is completely obsessed with the baby girl. During an interview on Today in October, the proud grandpa said, “Immediately you fall in love. You know, when we met Jake and Millie’s daughter, it was just immediate. You’re like, ‘That’s my granddaughter.’”
He’s already got his grandpa nickname picked out too: “Papa.” And he’s taking the role very seriously (and adorably). “She won’t be able to walk for at least 10 or 12 years,” he joked, “because Papa will be carrying her everywhere she goes.”
So yeah, Millie’s world might’ve been turned upside down, but in the sweetest way possible.
