The rising pop sensation joined Alex Cooper on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast to not only talk all things identity and music, but also give fans a little peek into her love life.
Casually dropping that she’s officially off the market, The Giver singer revealed that she is dating someone—or in her own words, in a “serious” relationship (!!).
After host Cooper asked Chappell if she was single, the star replied, “No.” While she didn’t go into full detail about who the mystery girl is (ugh, the suspense!), she did disclose that she’s been in the relationship for “six months.” Talk about keeping us out of the loop all this time!
Chappell Says She is “In Love”
This isn’t just a casual fling, Pop Tellers. Chappell told Cooper, “No, it’s serious. I’m very in love,” before waving the flag for single life:
“I am pro-single. Everyone should be single, I’m serious,” she said while beaming. “Be single. Stop dating. Be single. Have a great time alone. Find out for yourself if you can a hundred per cent be O.K. alone before you date. That’s what I found out. I had a great time when I was single, and I know that I’ll be O.K., and now, I have an awesome time that I’m with someone.”
Chappell Met Her Girlfriend Through Friends
All I want to know is how this love story began! Chappell shared that she met her partner through a mutual friend, though it wasn’t a setup. And in true boss girl fashion, she made the first move. “I’m usually the one who makes, like in every circumstance, I make the first move,” she admitted.
The Hot to Go star also dished on how she’s been navigating the whole dating game since rising to fame:
“I haven’t dated someone since this all really, really blew up. I’m dating the same person that I was dating before I got, like blew up, so I’m not sure how I would date now. I think it would actually be a nightmare. I think I would be so single right now because you’re terrified of their intentions. I’m scared. I’m scared. I don’t trust anyone. I just think in my head, I’m like, any new person that I’m texting, I’m like, ‘I’m assuming they will screenshot this and send it to someone else.’”
I mean, ever since she said, “baby, don’t you like this beat? I made it so you’d sleep with me,” I have been speculating hard about Roan’s love life. And now, this piece of gossip has only fueled my detective work. Twitter (or X, if I must) is already in shambles trying to figure out who this anonymous lady could be.
“I’m happy, and that’s all that matters,” Roan said on the podcast, dodging any further details, but still leaving us with just enough to freak out over. She also got real about her sex life, adding that “eating a girl out” is much easier than going down on a guy.
Chappell Talks Sex Life with Girls
“When I started hooking up with women, I realized how easy it is, actually. I realized how easy it is to eat a girl out, and how this whole time I thought it was, ‘Oh, your neck hurts so bad.’ I thought, ‘Oh… it’s, like, hard. My jaw hurts.’ You know what’s hard? Sucking di*k,” the singer said. “Eating a girl out? You can lay down!”
She continued, “I was fooled. I was foolish to think that. Of course it wasn’t as hard, what I was doing for them. Of course it wasn’t. That’s why I would never do an*l. Because I was like, ‘Then let me peg you.’ They would be like, ‘Haha, no way.’ [I would reply,] ‘Why not, we can just try. Let me peg you, and then we can… Maybe we’ll try.'”
“But when I started hooking up with women, I was like, ‘Fu*k you guys.’ This is enjoyable, first of all. Second of all: [It’s] way, way easier. It’s actually fu*king crazy. So what, you can’t find the cl*t? Work harder. It may take 10 minutes longer. That’s fine.”
