Justin Bieber had fans shooketh this past weekend with some seriously unhinged Instagram behavior. Out of the blue, the best-selling artist went Live on the platform, acting super weird, then spent Sunday (March 30) posting a series of messy and cryptic messages.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get any wilder—boom, he deactivates his account. But plot twist: he was back in just 10 minutes. Like… Justin, are you good?
Justin’s Instagram Behavior Concerns Fans
All eyes were on the Biebs when he randomly went Live for a quick session, vibing to what seemed like an unreleased track of his own.
The whole thing felt chaotic, but some fans thought he was just having one of those random bursts of creativity at 3 AM (we’ve all been there, right?). Others, however, were lowkey worried—Bieber’s energy felt a little too off, making people wonder if something else was going on.
X users immediately shared their concerns, saying the singer was “crashing out,” while others accused him of using drugs again.
A few loyal Beliebers were quick to say he’s always done this and that there’s nothing to see here. But, uh… the rest of the internet? Not so convinced.
And the drama didn’t stop there. Over the past 24 hours, Justin has been in full chaos mode on Instagram, dropping cryptic posts and weird stories.
Then, out of nowhere—Bieber deactivated his account. But then he was back just 10 minutes later, acting like nothing happened and posting even more.
There was one Story that really caught people’s attention. Bieber randomly wrote, “I really tried to play nicey nicey”—with zero context. While another featured images of marijuana with the Bob Marley lyrics, “We’re sick and tired of your bullsh*t game” emblazoned all over.
Naturally, the internet did what it does best: speculate like crazy.
Is Justin Bieber Reacting to Selena Gomez’s New Album?
Given the never-ending drama between Justin and Selena, it didn’t take long for the internet to connect the dots. People started speculating that Bieber’s unusual behavior might have something to do with Selena—especially since he’s been acting off ever since her engagement.
And if that’s the case, Selena’s new music with her fiancé, Benny Blanco is definitely not helping. In her song How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten, she does not hold back with lyrics that are rumored to be about the Biebs:
“He loves me, I love him / Look at you, just look at you now / You’re so embarrassin’ / Go cry when no one’s watchin’ / I can’t imagine it / How does it feel to be forgotten?”
Oof. If that wasn’t enough, in another song called You Said You Were Sorry, Selena (probably…urm most definitely) references her former relationship with Justin, as well as his famous song Sorry (which was said to be about Selena). She sings:
“(I’m) Happy without you / More now than I ever was / But I had a dream / You said you were sorry / Sorry for everything / That you put on me”
Sel is also probably referencing Bieber’s alleged attempted apology from last year, where sources said he tried to “make peace,” with her (but Selena and Benny said straight-up no).
His recent “nicey nicey” post suddenly makes a whole lotta sense now, huh?
And the plot thickens—in a recent interview with iHeartRadio, Selena literally said the song was inspired by a real dream she had about one of her ex-relationships (hmm, wonder who that could be?).
“I thought that I needed that (apology) for a long time, and I told Benny about it…I don’t need that to validate me, I don’t need that for me to move on, that’s ok that I never got one.”
The singer continued, “I want to be able to say ‘that was enough’…I’m grateful and love what I have now.”
People Are So Over This Same Old Drama
While most of the internet is convinced Justin is “acting out” because of Selena and her very telling lyrics, the other half is hoping Bieber’s bizarre behavior is just a sign of an upcoming album—because seriously, no one can handle this same storyline on repeat anymore. I mean, Jelena is so 2015!
But let’s be real… when it comes to marketing, this kind of drama always works. So will we ever get a real ending to the Jelena saga? Doubt it.
