Livies and Carpenters, brace yourselves, because this is major pop girl news.
We *might* be getting our first ever Olivia and Sabrina collab, and no we’re not reaching (okay, maybe a little), so hear us out..
Here’s what set everything off: fans spotted a padlock marked “S♡C” right next to Olivia’s in her you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love teaser. The detail didn’t go unnoticed—it appeared in an Instagram clip of Olivia Rodrigo attaching a lock to a gate in London.

And obviously, the internet did what it does best: connect dots at lightning speed. Because “S♡C”? Yeah… people are convinced that’s not random.

The Pink Locks Theory Was Actually Real
For weeks, fans had been spotting bright pink padlocks popping up around the world—specifically in London, Hoboken, Los Angeles, and Paris.
Each one had a different word:
- “april”
- “drop”
- “17th”
- “dead”

At first, it felt like a reach. But on April 6, Olivia confirmed it herself: the locks were planted by her team as part of a rollout of something.
And when you piece them together? “April 17 drop dead.”
“Drop Dead” Is Officially Coming
Just one day later, Olivia made it official: the first single from her upcoming album is called “drop dead” and it’s arriving April 17.

So yeah… fans were right about the clues all along. And now with the “S♡C” padlock? They’re wondering what else they’ve figured out early 👀
The Clues Don’t Stop There
This is where things get a little unhinged (in the best way).
Fans started connecting visuals from Sabrina Carpenter’s recent House Tour video—specifically a squashed piece of gum and a spider—to Olivia’s drop dead promo, where she’s seen blowing gum (and yes, there’s a squashed gum moment too).
Then there’s the spider. Fans immediately remembered the spider at the end of Liv’s bad idea right? video… and noticed similar imagery popping up around Sabrina lately.
could definitely be a reach but HMMM pic.twitter.com/bCfgNzUIkK

Coincidence? Maybe. But the internet is not convinced.
So… Where Do Olivia and Sabrina Actually Stand?
Given the history and all the “drivers license” drama, people are understandably side-eyeing all of this. But Olivia kept things pretty calm when discussing Sabrina in a recent interview with British Vogue, saying: “I think she’s great. I’m so happy for all of her success too. I love the album she’s put out.” And when it comes to their relationship, Liv added, “people just get weird and clickbaity—it’s all love, though. I’ve talked to her many times.”
Which is… friendly! Supportive! But also vague enough to keep everyone guessing.
So, at this point, we’ve got a suspicious “S♡C” lock, shared visual motifs (gum, spiders), a rollout full of hidden clues that already proved to be real and nice words being shared about one another.
So are fans clowning… or clocking something early? Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
