Mad that Donald Trump is running for president? Have no fear because Taylor Swift is coming in with the clapbacks!
Swifites and Democrats came together to rejoice on September 10th when (mother) Taylor endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Instagram following her debate with Donald Trump in Philadelphia.
The Instagram post, which included a photo of Taylor holding her cat, Benjamin, from her Time magazine Person of the Year 2023 cover story, came with a lengthy caption supporting Vice President Harris.
The cherry on top? Taylor signed herself off as “Taylor Swift. Childless Cat Lady.”

So, Why is Taylor a Childless Cat Lady?
The hitmaker’s sign-off is a direct dig at Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, who once referred to single women in the Democratic party as “childless cat ladies, who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made.”
In the words of Whoopi Goldberg — “You never had a baby; your wife had a baby.” (!!) No uterus, no opinion, right?
The cruel jab was made during Vance’s 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson, but the video resurfaced this July when Harris was announced as the Democratic nominee. Of course, it sparked an uproar from women (including Swifties) far and wide.
Taylor, being “childless,” and a total “cat lady” herself (our girl owns three gorg kitties), chose wisely when signing off her Instagram post, then. Credit when credit is due!

In her pro-Kamala Instagram post, the singer slammed Trump for sharing those AI-generated images of her seemingly endorsing Trump for president:
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
Take that, Donald! Karma is a god!
Tay also wrote, “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” The singer added, “I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades…”

Following Tay’s ICONIC post, Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, told MSNBC that he was “incredibly grateful” for her words, and hilariously added, “I say that as also as a cat owner, a fellow cat owner…that’s the kind of courage we need in America”.
With the bajillion Swifties out there, it could well be over for Trump. Taylor Swift: save America!
