All I want in my Swiftie-shaped heart is a red carpet debut from Taylor and Travis.
We were all anticipating the couple’s arrival at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday evening, but as it turns out, Taylor rocked up solo.
Not complaining at all — she looked amazing and did amazing (our girl walked away with seven wins)!
But ANYWAY!
Why Wasn’t Travis Kelce with Taylor at the VMAs?
If this was your burning question throughout the entire ceremony last night, here’s your answer:
Travis Kelce didn’t attend the MTV VMAs with Taylor because he was working.
It’s as simple as that, Pop Tellers. Let’s not forget Travis is also a busy man, and an actual NFL player, so his schedule will naturally clash with Tay’s.
As Page Six put it, “[Travis] had to be back in Kansas City by Tuesday for practice.” The NFL player is training and busy preparing for his next matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Taylor Still Dedicated Her Win to Travis
Despite his absence, Taylor still made Travis’ presence felt by honoring him during her acceptance speech.
Upon accepting the award for ‘Video of the Year’ for Fortnight, Taylor reminded fans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Hearts melted when she said:
“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was like the most fun video to make. And something that I’ll always remember is that when I would finish a take, and I’d say cut, and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone like cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that, that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.”
She continued, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic. So I want to thank him for for adding that to our shoot, because I’ll always remember that.”

Her speech came right after Travis shouted Taylor out on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, where he said:
“Hopefully Taylor can walk away with a few, she’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight. Hopefully she can walk away with some Moon Men. Those are always one of the cooler trophies. The space guys.”
Taylor and Travis Have Been Together All Week
Football season may be back in full swing, and Travis didn’t have time to join his babe at the VMAs, but be still my beating heart — at least they spent quality time together earlier this week!
Taylor attended his game last Thursday, they flew to New York City for the U.S. Open, and they even had a cutesy date night, too.
This string of public appearances came after the pair were faced with breakup rumors.
Just last week, an alleged “Media Breakup Plan” between Travis and Taylor went viral online, and fans continued to question why aren’t following each other on Instagram.
Whatever the case, Taylor and Travis are still the celebrity couple of the damn year, if you ask me.
