Euphoria and The White Lotus queen, Sydney Sweeney, has reportedly hit the pause button on her wedding to fiancé Jonathan Davino. While some of you (thirsty folk) are elated, others, like me, are pretty bummed about this huge shake-up in Hollywood (it’s huge to me, okay?!).
Sydney, 27, and Jonathan, 41, have been an item since 2018, and got engaged in 2022. In between swooning over their super hot photos together, and obsessing over a rumored Glen Powell affair (which was immediately shut down), we were all eagerly waiting for this dreamy wedding. But hold up—word on the street is that they’ve postponed their nuptials.
“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” an insider told US Weekly. “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”

“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” the insider revealed. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
So, why has this wedding come “to a halt” you may ask? Who in their right mind would turn down marrying the Sydney Sweeney?
Why Sydney and Jonathan Called Off Their Wedding
Well, it seems like Sydney’s jam-packed schedule is to blame. Our girl is booked and busy, and it’s sadly taking a toll on her relationship.
“A lot of their issues stem from Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments,” the source said. “She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship. Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
Syd is set to star in The Housemaid and in the next season of Euphoria, so it seems Jonnie boy is feeling the wrath of her hot co-stars busy schedule.
“Things are also always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project, and people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her costars,” the source alleges. “It’s a tough dynamic for Jonathan.”

Their Imminent Split Has Been a Long Time Coming
Adding fuel to the fire, fans recently noticed that Sydney deleted a super cute Insta pic of her and Jonathan sharing a New Year’s kiss. “The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite,” the snap was captioned.
Like, why would you delete such a moment unless something’s up, right? Plus, the actress has been spotted living solo at the Beverly Hills Hotel for the past month (per People), and she’s been vacationing with her girlies in Tanzania recently.
I mean, is the busy work schedule in the room with us? This is giving breakup—don’t @ me, Pop Tellers!
But let’s not freak out just yet. Despite these signs, Jonathan was seen at Sydney’s LA mansion recently, suggesting they *might* be trying to work things out.
