Benny Blanco is ready to swap beats for baby bottles. Well, someday soon, at least.
In a heartwarming chat with InStyle, the 37-year-old producer, who’s engaged to none other than Selena Gomez, revealed he’s got serious baby fever. “I love kids; I love being an uncle,” he shared. “But I really want to be a dad. I’m dreaming and praying every day.”
And the best part? Selena is just as excited about the idea of building a family together.
Selena’s Sweet Take on Parenthood
On the March 24 episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Selena opened up about her love for kids and the possibility of motherhood. “I don’t know what will happen, obviously,” she said. “But I love children. I have an 11-year-old sister that I absolutely adore.”
“They’re just so sweet,” she added. “So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”
Selena Gets Real About Her Future as a Mom
But it’s not all that easy for the popular star. In a vulnerable interview with Vanity Fair for their October 2024 issue, Selena shared something deeply personal: she can’t carry her own children due to health issues.
“I haven’t ever said this… but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she revealed. “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy.”
She’s spoken before about her lupus diagnosis in 2015 and her bipolar disorder, which she disclosed in 2020. But instead of giving up on her dreams, Selena’s focused on the other ways she can become a mom, like surrogacy or adoption.

“I’m excited for what that journey will look like,” she said. “At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
Selena and Benny’s Love Story
In case you missed it, Benny and Selena’s connection goes way back. They first crossed paths in 2013 through Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey. Benny later helped produce two tracks on Selena’s Revival album — Kill Em With Kindness and Same Old Love. So yeah, the creative chemistry came way before the romance.
Fast forward to December 2023, the pair made things public with an IG pic and Selena confirmed the relationship by dropping love-filled comments like, “He is my absolute everything in my heart” on fan posts.
A bunch of photoshoots, (silly breakup rumors), and an extravagant engagement later, Selena and Benny are truly the epitome of couple goals. And you know what making baby plans means, right? The wedding should be here real soon, Pop Tellers!
