Seeing the downfall of Liam Payne in 2024 was not on my bingo card for this year, but here we are, Pop Tellers.
Liam, Zayn, Niall and every other One Direction boy is taking over the timeline and it really feels like 2013 Tumblr again. But not in a good way, I’m afraid to say.
First Liam awkwardly begs for attention at Niall Horan’s concert, then he has a very strange encounter with a fan outside the show, and now he’s being accused of some wild stuff by his ex and by fans – my head actually hurts.
Liam’s ex-fiancée Maya Henry (whom he dated from 2020-2022) has spilt some tea regarding her messy relationship with the former 1D member, and while that’s disturbing enough, fans are now even coming forward with sexual harassment allegations.
Let’s just say the night changes real quick, because now there’s an absolute hate train for Liam Payne raging on, and my mind is blown with all the accusations being thrown at him.

How Did the Liam Payne Hate Train Start?
Liam’s Ex-Fiancée Reveals Which One Direction Member Threw Him Against a Wall
Back in 2022, Liam Payne recalled the time a 1D bandmate “threw me” against the wall during a backstage argument. He discussed the violent altercation during an interview on Logan Paul’s podcast saying, “There was an argument backstage and one member, in particular, threw me up a wall. So I said to him, ‘If you don’t remove those hands, there’s a high likelihood you’ll never use them again.”
I’ve obviously racked my brain and conjured up every possible scenario to figure out which 1D member would do such a thing. Like every other Directioner, I suspected Liam was referring to Louis Tomlinson – given their bad history and all.
BUT! Thanks to Maya Henry: the cat’s now out the bag! After being tagged in a video on TikTok which claimed the culprit was Louis, Maya released her very own clip saying she “could not hold this information in any more,” and finally revealed that it was Zayn Malik (!!) who pushed Liam.
“I see this all the time, everywhere, I’ve heard this insufferable story so many times…he told me it was Zayn, so,” Maya says in the clip. See it for yourself:

Maya Henry Makes Bombshell Confessions About Liam
Of course, Maya’s TikTok clip went viral, and while fans were shocked to learn that it was “quiet” Zayn who pushed Liam, they also called her out for “trying to get attention.” Fans referenced Maya’s novel Looking Forward – which fictionalizes the “abusive” relationship she shared with Liam – and hurled abuse at her for trying to “incite people to hate” the former 1D lad.
Side note: Maya’s book indirectly accuses Liam of physical and emotional abuse while she was in a relationship with him, including chasing her around their house with an axe, slamming walls next to her head, smashing glass tables, forcing her to get an abortion, sending di*k pics to her family, and cheating on her while on drugs.
Well, like any strong gal should, Maya responded to Liam’s fans for not believing her abuse story and for spilling the Liam/Zayn tea. In the tell-all eight-minute clip, Maya claimed fans “don’t know what goes on behind closed doors,” and made some shocking revelations about her ex. Here’s some of what she said:
- Liam still “blows up” Maya’s phone, despite the couple splitting up in 2021. Apparently, he uses “different numbers” and iCloud accounts when “he gets his phone taken away from him” to contact her and her mom. WILD!
- During their relationship, Liam used to message other girls and Maya’s best friend to meet up. I’M SORRY, WHAT?!
- Liam would “prey on fans” by messaging them on Snapchat and Instagram, because they “won’t tell on him.” HUH?!
- Maya says Liam would “talk sh*t” about his bandmates, but still turn up to their shows “to take the attention away from everyone.” NOT SURPRISING AT ALL.

Fan Says Liam Manipulated Her to Send Explicit Pics
After Maya received backlash from 1D fans, self-proclaimed Liam Payne stan, Ashley, shared her own shocking story to support his ex-fiancée.
The ex-One Direction fan came out of the woodworks and stirred the pot even further by claiming she was “manipulated” and “harassed” by Liam to send explicit photos and videos.
“He messaged me on Instagram…asking me for explicit videos, explicit photos,” she revealed. Ashley claims the ordeal went on for “two years” while he was “in relationships,” and would message her “two weeks after his baby was born” for photos (Liam shares a son with singer Cheryl Cole).
Ashley says she “kept this a secret” because she wanted Liam to “like her” and agreed to send the explicit images because “it was Liam Payne.” Turns out Maya was right.
If that’s not enough to make you gasp, more fans have come forth to expose Liam and tell their stories. One fan claims she was “preyed on” at the age of 19, and even shared a screenshot of his disturbing messages. Another girl has said that the singer recently inappropriately messaged her, and she even got in touch with his current girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, to break the news.
Yeah, this is all very “me too”-coded. Never did I think a One Direction member would be tangled up in such a story. I bet so many Directioners are in denial right now. Anyway, I’m glad these girls are speaking up and it’s time fans started believing them, too.
