Sean “Diddy” Combs and singer/model Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) were once one of the most talked-about couples in the music industry. They met in 2005 when Cassie signed to his label, Bad Boy Records, and their relationship played out in the public eye as flashy, glamorous, and high-profile. But behind the scenes, Cassie says the truth was far darker.
In 2023, she filed a bombshell civil lawsuit accusing Combs of rape, sex trafficking, physical abuse, and long-term control over her personal and professional life. The case was settled in less than 24 hours for $20 million—but it didn’t end there.
In the months that followed, federal agents launched a sweeping investigation into Combs. He is now on trial facing multiple criminal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, tied to allegations that he ran a years-long operation involving abuse, coercion, and exploitation. As the trial unfolds, Cassie has taken the stand—and her testimony has shaken the courtroom.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything Cassie revealed during her powerful in-court testimony.

Diddy Would Physically and Emotionally Abuse Cassie
Throughout their relationship, Cassie described enduring physical abuse from Combs. She stated, “He would knock me over, drag me, kick me, stomp me in the head if I was down.” Cassie said she eventually learned “not to fight back” and how to hide the abuse.
Cassie Details the 2016 Hotel Surveillance Incident
During the trial, jurors were shown the 2016 InterContinental Hotel surveillance footage where Combs was seen grabbing, kicking, and shoving Cassie outside an elevator. Photographs presented showed Cassie with visible injuries, including a “fat lip.” Cassie explained that the attack happened after she tried to leave a “freak-off.” “I didn’t fight back,” she said. “It just made him more violent, made him stronger.”
Cassie Says Diddy Raped Her
Cassie testified that in 2018, shortly after their breakup, Combs visited her home following a lunch where they had a “closure” conversation. During that visit, she alleged that Combs raped her in her living room. “I just remember crying and saying ‘no…’ His eyes were black. He wasn’t himself…but it was very fast,” she recounted.
She admitted that she later had consensual sex with Combs, explaining, “We’d been together 10 years — you just don’t turn feelings off that way.”
Cassie Describes Diddy’s ‘Freak-Offs’
Cassie gave a graphic testimony about the “freak-offs” — sex parties Diddy allegedly forced her into. These sessions typically involved male escorts, whom she said she hired through Craigslist or Backpage. “It’s his fantasy. He was controlling the whole situation, he was directing it,” she told the jury. Diddy would watch and pleasure himself while the acts took place.
After an escort would “finish on her,” she said Combs would instruct her to go into the next room where he wanted the fluid “put on his body.”
What started as isolated incidents became routine. “It became a job…Basically a sex worker.” she said. Cassie would be required to wear a masquerade mask, and the rooms would often be trashed — covered in baby oil, with blood and urine on the sheets.
The longest freak-off, she testified, lasted four days. “I never slept,” she said. “I took Ecstasy and Molly, cocaine.” She used the drugs to emotionally numb herself, describing the aftermath as filled with “dirty and confusion,” while Diddy seemed pleased. “He was happy with me.”
Cassie Would Hire the Male Escorts
Cassie said she was responsible for arranging the male escorts for these sessions (via Backpage and Craigslist). She testified that Combs instructed her to always ask the men if they were police officers — a precaution, she believed, to avoid legal trouble.
Diddy Would Urinate on Cassie
Cassie described being subjected to degrading acts, such as being urinated on by Combs and others during the freak-offs. “It was a turn-on for [Combs], so it happened,” she said, despite her discomfort. “There is not a whole lot of control you have with two men standing over you peeing.”
Cassie also divulged that “Sean would urinate in my mouth,” and found herself “choking” at times because there was “too much urine in my mouth.” She also testified that Diddy forced her to participate in freak-offs even while she was on her period.
The Freak Offs Gave Cassie Urine Infections and Mouth Sores
Cassie told the court that she suffered from recurring urinary tract infections due to the repeated freak-offs. “I tried to flush it out with water,” she said. “I got to the point where [the antibiotic] CIPRO didn’t work anymore. It was a mess.”
She added, “It was really painful for a long time. I can’t believe I actually dealt with that,” revealing she also developed sores on her tongue from the excessive oral sex.
Cassie Details Diddy’s Baby Oil Obsession
Cassie alleged that during the freak-offs, Diddy would make her reapply baby oil every five-minutes until she was “glistening” because he felt like she was “too dry.”
She testified about one particular freak-off where Combs had her climb into an inflatable pool filled with baby oil — fully clothed. Cassie estimated they’d go through around 10 large bottles of baby oil during each session.
Diddy “Controlled” Cassie’s Entire Life
Cassie claimed Diddy “controlled” everything and would “punish” her if he was disappointed with her. “I would get my car taken away. I got kicked out of the house, my apartment. I had jewelry taken away. It was very random depending how he felt.”
Adding that she was “naïve” and a “total people-pleaser,” Cassie said he’d dictate her appearance, and make comments about her hair and nails: “Appearance was very important to him…He told me to work out, prepare for the freak-offs.”
Diddy Made Cassie Call Him ‘Pop-Pop’
In another example of psychological manipulation, Cassie said Combs made her call him “Pop-Pop” — the same nickname she used for her grandfather.
Diddy Would Blackmail Cassie with Explicit Videos
Combs allegedly recorded the “freak-off” sessions or would watch them through Facetime. He used the footage to blackmail Cassie, threatening to release the videos if she refused to take part. “I feared for my career, my family…It is horrible and disgusting.”
Adding that the clips made her feel “like a slut,” Cassie revealed that she “felt trapped,” often doing “whatever was going to not make him angry or threaten me.”
Diddy Abused Cassie After Offering an Album Deal
Cassie disclosed that she’d signed a 10-album deal with Combs’ Bad Boy Records in 2006 when she was 19. However, most of the “hundreds of songs” were never released. She also shared that during this meetup, Combs introduced her to oral sex: “Sean taught me how. He gave me oral sex, I did not reciprocate…I was so young and I didn’t have the vocabulary and was just trying to understand it. I was sexually inexperienced. Leaving him was always confusing. I felt special and not a lot of people got that time.”
Diddy Threatened to Hurt Kid Cudi
Cassie dated Kid Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) for a brief period when she and Diddy were “not in a good place.” She testified that Combs told her “he was going to hurt” both of them and that he was going to have Kid Cudi’s car blown up. Although Diddy was never charged, Cudi’s Porsche was set on fire in January 2012.
Cassie Says She Dated Diddy While He Was Still With Kim Porter
Cassie told the court that at the beginning of their relationship, Combs was still with Kim Porter—the mother of three of his children, who passed away in 2018. “It was not public for many years,” she said. “He just didn’t want it to look bad… because of his children and personal things like his family.”
Cassie References Diddy’s Feud with Suge Knight
During one freak-off, Cassie testified that Combs abruptly left the house after hearing Suge Knight was nearby at a diner. She said she cried and begged him “not to do anything stupid.”
Cassie Explains Why She “Stayed”
When asked why she didn’t leave sooner, Cassie explained the psychological manipulation and fear she lived with. “When you’re in love with someone, you don’t want to disappoint them,” she said, adding that Diddy used the freak-off videos to blackmail her. “Sean is a really polarizing person; he was charming… It’s hard to really be able to determine what you need when he’s telling you what he wants. I just didn’t know. I didn’t know what would happen.”
When asked why she didn’t refuse to take part in the freak-offs, Cassie explained the fear that kept her compliant: “I didn’t want to make him angry, or upset.” Later in her testimony, she opened up about why she never reached out for help or tried to leave. “I was humiliated,” she said. “I didn’t have those words then. I couldn’t talk to anyone.”
Cassie Recalls Considering Suicide
Cassie revealed one of the most heartbreaking moments of her post-relationship trauma: she attempted to walk into traffic in an effort to take her own life. Fighting back tears, she recounted how her husband, Alex Fine stopped her just in time. “I told him, ‘You can do this without me. You don’t need me here anymore,’” she said on the stand. The moment marked a turning point, pushing her toward seeking help and beginning the long process of healing.
Cassie Admits She Loved Diddy and Was Hurt by His Infidelity
Cassie testified about the complexities of her relationship with Diddy, expressing that she “loved” him and was often “hurt” by his infidelity. She testified that she “had some jealousy” toward Kim Porter, particularly at the start of their relationship. The singer acknowledged that this jealousy of “other women” and fear of losing Combs played a role in her participation in the freak-offs: “[It] felt special because not a lot of [people] had that kind of time with him.”
Diddy Suspected Cassie Had an Affair with Michael B. Jordan
During her testimony, Cassie revealed that Combs suspected she was having an affair with actor Michael B. Jordan while she was filming Honey 3 in South Africa in 2016.
Cassie’s Friends and Family Were Aware of the Abuse
Cassie testified that her close friends and family members were aware of the abuse she endured during her relationship with Combs, as they had “witnessed” it multiple times.
Diddy Took Cassie’s Phone After Chris Brown Suspicion
On the stand, Cassie was asked whether she remembered Diddy taking away her phone after he suspected she had been “dancing” with Chris Brown. The singer said she didn’t remember much about the incident “besides the fact that I wasn’t dancing with Chris Brown.”
Cassie Threatened a Man Who Had a Video of Her
After learning that a man had “a sexually explicit video of her,” Cassie told him (in a recording presented to the jury), “I’m going to kill you, and then he’s [Diddy] gonna kill you again.” She testified that she believed the man had secretly recorded her and Combs during a freak-off and said Combs said he’d “take care of it.”
Cassie Says She Went to an Inpatient Treatment Center
In 2023, Cassie went to an inpatient treatment center for mental health problems, revealing she had different kinds of therapy for PTSD.
Cassie Doesn’t “Hate” Diddy
Expressing her current feelings towards Diddy, Cassie she said doesn’t “hate” Diddy; and when asked if she still had love for him, she responded, “I have love for the past and what it was.”
Cassie Would Give Back the Settlement if She Never Had to Do Freak-Offs
In one of her final testimonies, Cassie broke down in tears saying, “I’d give that money back if I never had to have Freak Offs,” adding, “If I never had to have ‘Freak Offs,’ I would have had agency and autonomy. And I wouldn’t have had to work so hard to get it back.”
