Demi Lovato had nothing but love when asked about her former bestie (or frenemy?) Selena Gomez’s engagement to Benny Blanco.
During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live this week, the Heart Attack singer couldn’t stop praising Gomez. “I couldn’t be happier for her…I just wish her the best,” Demi said, making it clear she’s genuinely happy for her ex-Disney pal.
Demi Even Stanned Selena & Benny’s Album
It wasn’t just the engagement getting love — Demi gave a huge shoutout to the couple’s joint album, I Said I Love You First, which dropped in March.
“Really, really great job. I love the songs on it,” Demi told viewers, singling out Bluest Flame as her fave.
From Barney to Breakups: Demi & Selena’s Rocky History
For anyone who forgot, Demi and Selena go way back, like Barney & Friends back. The two grew up together, rode the Disney Channel wave side by side, and were once inseparable.
But things changed.
