If there’s one thing Olivia Rodrigo is gonna do, it’s make me want to completely change my wardrobe after seeing a blurry paparazzi video.
The trending star was spotted filming a brand new music video in New York City on Tuesday (May 26), and well, I could barely focus on anything except the boots. They completely stole the scene.
Olivia’s look was this chaotic mix of grunge and balletcore energy and somehow it worked perfectly. While ballerinas in soft pink tutus danced around her, Olivia went in the total opposite direction with an oversized navy hoodie, layered over a white skirt, chunky leg warmers, and these massive knee-high leather biker boots covered in buckles.
The contrast between the delicate ballerinas and Olivia looking like the lead singer of a 2004 punk band? Obsessed.

Olivia’s Boots Everyone Is Talking About
The boots themselves are super dramatic in the best way possible. They’re glossy black leather with a rounded toe, chunky sole, and straps literally everywhere.
Six thick buckle straps wrapped all the way up the shaft of the boot, plus another larger strap around the ankle, gave them this heavy motorcycle-inspired look. And with Olivia styling tall black leg warmers underneath? It made the whole outfit feel even messier and cooler.
It’s very “I listen to underground bands but also wear bows in my hair,” which is basically Olivia’s entire aesthetic at this point.

We Still Don’t Know the Exact Boots Yet
Right now, nobody has officially identified the exact pair Olivia wore in the video — trust me, the internet is trying. Stay tuned because the second they’re confirmed, people are absolutely going to sell them out in five minutes.
But while we wait, I found some really good dupes that give the exact same vibe — from affordable options to designer splurges if your bank account is stronger than mine.

Affordable Dupes for Olivia Rodrigo’s Boots
One pair that instantly reminded me of Olivia’s boots is the Intentionally Blank Pile Up Knee High Biker Boot. They’ve got that slouchy biker feel with chunky hardware and the same edgy “cool girl at a concert” energy. They feel elevated without looking overly costume-y, and bonus? They’re on sale.

If you want something way more budget-friendly, Amazon’s AMINUGAL Buckle Knee High Boots are a pretty solid dupe. They lean a little more festival-core with the metallic details, but the stacked buckles and chunky silhouette definitely hit the same vibe without destroying your wallet.

The Designer Versions Are Gorgeous… But Expensive
If you’re trying to fully commit to the Olivia Rodrigo boot aesthetic and don’t mind the price tag, there are a few luxury versions floating around too.
Dolce & Gabbana’s Leather Boots have that sleek biker-girl look with premium leather and bold hardware.
Twinset’s Buckle Strap Leather Boots also feel very close to Olivia’s vibe thanks to the multiple straps and heavy silhouette.
And of course, Miu Miu’s Leather Boots are basically the luxury version of this whole aesthetic. They don’t have quite as many buckles, but they still give that expensive grunge energy Olivia loves.
Olivia’s Whole Style Era Right Now Is So Good
What I love about Olivia’s fashion lately is how she mixes totally opposite aesthetics together and somehow makes them feel effortless.
One minute she’s wearing lace dresses, bows, and tiny Mary Janes, and the next she’s stomping around in giant leather boots that look like they survived three Warped Tours. It’s very ‘90s grunge mixed with hyper-feminine coquette style — and nobody else is really doing it like her right now.
Even when people were debating her recent babydoll look, Olivia still kept doing her thing. That’s kind of why her outfits work so well — they never feel overly polished or safe.
New Music Is Coming Fast
The music video sighting comes right after Olivia released The Cure, the second single from her upcoming third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. Fans are already deep into trying to figure out the vibe of this new era after lead single Drop Dead.
And based on these boots alone? I’m expecting heartbreak, rage, eyeliner, and at least one lyric that emotionally destroys me.
