One of the most well-known facts about Sia is that she mostly keeps her love life private. As of writing, she isn’t dating or married to anyone (that we know of, at least). However, the singer was married to director and producer Erik Anders Lang from 2014-2016; and in 2022, she secretly married Dan Bernad, but the couple split up and got divorced in 2025.

Sia has had quite the rocky past. In 1997, her boyfriend at the time, Dan, was killed after being hit by a car in London. Talking to The Sunday Times, Sia said that it took “six years” to come to terms with his death: “I was pretty fu**ed up after Dan died. I couldn’t really feel anything. I could intellectualize a lot of stuff; that I had a purpose, that I was loved, but I couldn’t actually feel anything.”

Following the death of her boyfriend, Sia admitted that would self-destruct. Talking on Grounded with Louis Theroux, Sia revealed that she battled a drug and alcohol addiction.
