Whether it’s Kim Kardashian who breaks the internet or Justin Bieber who grabs the headlines, there’s already been a handful of trending celebrities in 2026. Twitter (or X) has exploded as stars feud, while failed celebrity relationships have sent news stories spiraling around the world.

Actors from the newest movies and shows are dominating our social feeds (The Housemaid, anyone?), and pop artists are coming through with more hit songs to turn them into household names (Manchild this, APT that…).

So, whether you find yourself out of touch with the celebrity world, or are intrigued by which stars are being hyped up this year, I’m here to break it down for you.

Pop Tales brings you a one-stop guide to the most popular celebrities of 2026 and their stories and achievements that have made them trend far and wide (in no particular order).

METHODOLOGY: To round up the most popular celebrities, I curated a list of famous people from the music, film, and TV industries. To determine their level of popularity and fame, I’ve (basically) stalked them on social media to count their followers and scoured the web and Google Trends to learn which projects or news stories have put them in the spotlight in 2026 so far. Together with this, I used my deep knowledge of pop culture and obsession with celebrities to sum up who these stars are and why they deserve a place on this list.
